We’re facing big challenges like climate change, habitat loss, and pollution that not only threaten our ecosystems but our very way of life. That’s where Project Green Up Development steps in. Our mission is to shine a light on environmental protection and inspire action, especially among young people.
Our Goals
The heart of our project is to tackle environmental challenges by promoting eco-friendly lifestyles and increasing awareness about how daily actions can impact the planet. We’re focusing on empowering young people, encouraging them to lead the charge in making positive changes in their communities. We’re using a mix of hands-on activities, digital education, and cross-cultural exchanges to reach our goals.
Sustainable Success: Four-Phase Approach
- Awareness and Education: we kick off with four international training sessions covering topics like recycling, sustainable development goals, and digital storytelling. These sessions are designed to equip young participants with the knowledge and skills they need to be environmental advocates.
- Deepening Expertise: each participating country hosts a national training on proposal writing, essential for our young advocates to learn how to secure funding and support for their ideas.
- Project Development: participants then form teams to apply their knowledge. They’ll craft project proposals for initiatives that can receive funding through our project, turning their ideas into actionable plans.
- Implementation and Sharing: the final phase is all about action. Teams implement their projects, with financial support from our project budget. The results and experiences are then shared widely through media and social networks to inspire others.
Recent Highlights & What’s Next
Our journey began with a training session in April 2024 in Croatia and Austria, focusing on recycling and reuse. Eighteen enthusiastic participants from across Europe came together to learn about waste management and explore creative recycling techniques.
