On November 13th, our WISE-AI team met in Bilbao (Derio), Spain for one of the last partner meetings before the project officially ends. We were hosted by Politeknika Txorierri, who not only welcomed us with great hospitality but also showed us around their campus – full of innovative labs, creative spaces, and modern teaching methods. It was a nice reminder of why projects like this matter: education keeps evolving, and so do we.
Checking In on Where We Stand
We started the day by looking back at what has already been done and what still needs attention before the project closes on March 31st. It was a practical but important conversation: timelines, responsibilities, final deliverables.
The dissemination update was presented by AY Institute, who walked us through the reach numbers so far and the communication actions planned for the final months. It’s clear the project has already reached a strong audience – and we’re not done yet.
Looking at the Tools We’ve Built
A big part of the meeting focused on the two main digital tools at the heart of WISE-AI.
The Knowledge Portal:
Here, we didn’t test the content itself but rather checked what is already in place, what still needs to be added, and whether everything works properly. It was a good moment to align on the last pieces that need to be completed.
The Minecraft Game:
This was the fun part – we entered the world and tested how the game runs. Internal testing is still ongoing, but trying it out in the same room helped us spot small issues, raise questions, and share ideas for improvement. Seeing the game take shape in real time felt like a milestone on its own.
Getting Ready for the European Seminar in Vilnius
Another important topic on the agenda was the European Seminar, which will take place on March 19th in Vilnius, Lithuania. During this event:
- Partners will come together again
- We’ll play the final version of the Minecraft world
- We’ll explore the Knowledge Portal
- Presentations and discussions will wrap up the project
- We’ll share the final results with a wider audience
It will be one of the last – and most important – moments of the project.
What’s Left Before March 31st
As the project enters its final stage, here’s what we still need to do:
- Complete the missing parts of the Knowledge Portal
- Finalize and polish the Minecraft game
- Continue dissemination and keep sharing our progress
- Prepare final reports and documentation
- Deliver the European Seminar in Vilnius
- Make sure all project results are accessible and ready to use
The meeting in Bilbao felt productive, inspiring, and grounded – a good mix of looking back at what we’ve created and looking ahead at what’s still to come. With just a few months left, the final chapter of WISE-AI is well underway.
