How will employing people coming out of correctional facilities will help your business?

  • In Lithuania, 54% of job vacancies are for skilled workers (Employment Service, 2021). Inmates working in correctional facilities and gaining qualifications can fill this gap.

  • Surveys show that getting a job after release is the most difficult task for an inmate. Not finding a job increases the risk of re-offending and the cycle starts all over again. By employing an ex-offender, you are contributing to an important change in society.

  • You can get a 50% wage subsidy if you employ someone returning from a correctional facility within 6 months of signing the contract.
