AIM

This project aims to address the wrongful representation of people in prisons through media and formal education. We are aiming to:

  • To provide media representatives, especially students and young journalists, with knowledge on responsible media portrayal of (ex-)convicts.
  • Encourage young media representatives to volunteer in prisons to learn about the needs of prisoners and thus develop an ethos of responsible journalism in the project countries.
  • To develop and disseminate educational publications that increase the competences of media representatives, on responsible representation methods and on the principles of integration.
  • To make available and disseminate the materials, resources and training developed and used during the project to the public, thus increasing the relevance of the project.
