Sports Without Boundries

We believe that collaboration of the young people from relevant organizations with the common interests, can break these stereotypes, empower minority groups to improve self-esteem and integrate into local communities thorough sport.
AIM

“Sport Without Boundaries” strives to promote social inclusion, break the stereotypes, and encourage equal opportunities in sport, as well as highlighting the importance of grassroots sport and sport volunteerism in Europe.

SHORT DESCRIPTION

The project aims to unite people from different generations, different backgrounds, different cultures and break negative stereotypes through sports activities. One of the objectives of the project is to promote volunteerism in sports activities and raise the qualifications and competencies of young volunteers by providing them with tools for international volunteering in sports. Another key objective of the project is to promote social inclusion, equal opportunities, and awareness of the importance of healthy physical activity through grassroots sports. 

“Sport Without Boundaries” is funded by Erasmus+ and is a collaboration between 5 partners: Association Active Youth (Lithuania), Strategic Partnership Institute (Poland), High on Life (Italy), Czech Youth Association (Czech Republic) and European Integration Group (Turkey).

PROJECT MAIN ACTIVITES
  • Organize a 2-day “Professional Sport Volunteers” training in Lithuania for youth workers to gain a deeper understanding of volunteerism in sport and sport education
  • Organize the Sports Summer Camp in Canakkale, Turkey, where sport volunteers will have a chance to apply their knowledge when working with young people from different backgrounds
  • Organize football championship „Football Without Boundaries“ in the premises of the College of Europe, Natolin, using football as a tool to overcome prejudices and look for a common language for different groups
  • Creation of “Encourage Sports” contest for young people to come up with new initiatives for the promotion of active lifestyle and social inclusion through sports
  • Prepare and publicize guidelines on how to encourage volunteerism in sport
