Project Summary
From the ancient Egyptians, Plato’s “Symposium” and “Kana’s Wedding” to modern societies, alcohol consumption has deep roots in human history and is associated with a variety of cultural elements, traditions and habits. In our days, especially for the majority of young people, it is equivalent to entertainment, positive mood, reduction of inhibitions, as well as easier socialising in social events, reduction of anxiety, feeling more freedom. In other words, it is presented as the “best medicine” for daily tension and anxiety. Our project aims to raise awareness between the youth and the wider society about alcohol abuse.
