AIM

The project aims to maximize the capacities of young people with fewer opportunities to get involved with mobility projects all over Europe, to help them develop soft skills and self-confidence, and thus have a better chance of accessing a job and fighting against social isolation and inactivity. Also, to improve YWs coaching methodologies working with rural youth.

SHORT DESCRIPTION

The main goal of this project is to reach youth residing in rural areas, lift the psychological barrier that is preventing them from acting beyond local level, invite them to explore the world and provide them with such opportunities, ultimately fighting social and professional exclusion.

Project main activities

  • Training activities that consist of two cycles:
    • Training for professionals: sessions dedicated to learning to identify the “invisible” audience and accompany a young person in his approach, as well as learning how to work with a multi-stakeholder network and act at the local level, then on a larger scale.
    • Training for youth: sessions on defining their mobility project and preparing for related challenges, such as cultural shock, notions of interculturality, settling in, etc. also, training them such that they can put their experience at the service of another young person.
  • Production of the Guide and the Pedagogical toolkit.
  • Creation of local focal point / transnational hub(s) networking by organising roadshows and round the tables.

EXPECTED IMPACT

  • Increase the number of young people from rural areas with fewer opportunities undertaking international mobility.
  • Develop soft skills and self-confidence, extend their horizons and increase their understanding of different cultures.
  • Improve the employability and social integration of people with fewer opportunities.
