AIM

Transforming Covid-19 into an opportunity is a project aimed to help youngsters that are affected by Covid-19, as according to the International Labour Organization (ILO), the pandemic is having a “devastating and disproportionate” impact on youth employment. The project aims to better prepare young people to be able to find jobs in the digital spaces.

SHORT DESCRIPTION

Covid-19 is leading to the emergence of a “lockdown generation”, as the crisis hits young people’s job prospects. In the middle of this crisis, young people, recognized as natural cultural actors and producers, can be observed as and opportunities for cultural and creative development. This way, this project is aiming at ensuring the development of new digital tools that, through non-formal-education settings, could help unemployed youngsters to get better training to skill up their creative and digital skills. This training and training tools are oriented to ensure that young people are prepared to get economically active in the digital sector minimizing the negative effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and the economic slow-down that it is creating.
