AIM
The aim of the project is to help youth transform themselves from objects and subjects of war into agents of peace.
MAIN OBJECTIVES
- To promote social involvement and prevent intercultural conflicts that are based on stereotypes, through the creation of an atmosphere of mutual understanding and cooperation;
- To exchange good practices on refugee integration;
- To generate new ideas on how to better use their potential;
- To encourage the development of policy proposals, and fill in the gap between youth and decision-makers.
- To improve intercultural understanding and take collaborative action.
PROJECT MAIN ACTIVITIES
- Research on how national policies in Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan, Lithuania impact the living standard of refugees.
- Training courses in Lebanon and Jordan on how to work with people affected by conflict environments: overcome post-traumatic stress, deal with conflict-conditioned discrimination and how to psychologically deal with war scenes and violence in your daily life – mental health for youth workers.
- Study visit to Vilnius, Lithuania to gain insight on structural EU implementations in the peacemaking sector, NGO work in the humanitarian field as well as work with refugees.
- Online Webinars on peacebuilding in youth work.
- Local workshops on overcoming conflict caused trauma through art and theater and Youth Work supporting young people’s mental health through breathing and meditation techniques.
