The main aim of the project is to actively involve and empower youth in European democratic life, emphasizing their participation in policymaking processes.

This project, aligned with the European Democracy Action Plan and EU Citizenship Report 2020, focuses on enhancing the role of youth in European democracy. It emphasizes their direct involvement and empowerment in policymaking and democratic processes. The project aims to counter disinformation, promote gender equality, and bridge democratic participation gaps across EU countries. With a series of 7 transnational events, it offers young people opportunities to discuss, exchange views, and understand the importance of active participation in public policy. The project also integrates insights from the Conference on the Future of Europe, focusing on informing and raising awareness about challenges like the pandemic, digitalization, and disinformation. Its objectives include promoting the 2024 European elections and encouraging youth dialogue on European democracy.

  • Informative Panels on EU Democracy Topics: The project will realize seven informative panels covering topics such as election observation, E-government, fake-news and disinformation, European Demos debate, EU institutions and their reform, addressing cultural diversity in the EU, and the role of civil society in the EU.
  • Bottom-Up Recommendations: Participants will develop a set of recommendations for each topic discussed in the panels. They will identify at least 10 specific recommendations in each panel.
  • Online Final Conference: An online conference will be organized to conclude the project, to summarize findings, share recommendations, and facilitate broader discussions on the covered topics.
